Beginners' 8 week course

Week 1 - introduction to yoga asana. Work on seated and standing postures and beginner pranayama breathing exercises. Optional physical assessment.

Week 2/3 - We intensify what we've already worked on and add on the sun salutation.

Week 4 - Core strength building. Learn about weight distribution and what makes the 'core'.

Week 5 - Vinyasa yoga, start integrating postures into a meditative flow.

Week 6 - Balancing postures. Learn how to balance on your legs, hands and head!

Week 7 - Dynamic postures. We focus on postures that are done in repetition.

Week 8 - 108 Sun Salutation challenge! Followed by deep reflection and relaxation.

 

Yoga for flexibility (popular with athletes!)

Hamstrings, foot arches, lower back, wrists - any of these make you say ow? Let's get really specific about your movement habits and find ways to improve your body structure for your chosen sport or occupation. We get DEEP into the fascia and will hold postures for up to ten minutes with lots of hands on adjustments and massage.



​Yoga for performing artists

We work on the most essential part of yoga - dissolving the ego. We undress yogic

texts and combine them with contemporary art practices (Alexander technique, Feldenkrais, Meisner, Singing, Body Weather and more!) to make you a commanding and sensitive performer with HUGE self awareness, open pipes and improved movement ability.

 

Faux-ga

Not strictly 'yoga', but if your goals are to lose weight and get fit then we'll combine calisthenics with yoga postures to make that happen!
